Real Estate Guy History

I am a dedicated, professional business person.  I decided to take a commitment to a career where I can help people.  In real estate I am helping people buy and sell homes.  I am working hard to earn a reputation for honest and strong client representation.  This is my goal.

After 7 years as a top agent in another prominent company, I needed to develop further.  Bringing a new company to Wisconsin , and being the first agent to join Keller Williams in Madison .  The company is agent owned and run by agents for agents.  The emphasis is on improving the agent’s ability to serve the customer which in turn will grow the company.

Since my affiliation with Keller Williams, I have learnt how I can not continue to do a great job with out expert help. (no one can be a master of all- and a Real Estate Person sure has to be good at many things- which is why so many people have complaints about the industry)  What I realized, is that a group, of trained dedicated specialists is far better than just one "Jack".

Guy's Career History

 1990-1992           Management Consultant for British Gas (a large worldwide Gas exploration & supply company). Either alone or on small teams, I worked on projects to improve office systems, layouts and management structures to improve efficiency. - I learnt to listen to clients needs and work together to provide the best solutions.

 1990-1990           Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Nottingham University.

 1985-1989           Buyer and Negotiator in the highly competitive produce trade. Subsequently promoted to National Account Executive selling produce to national retailer. - Sales experience where I learnt the value of customer service.               

  1980-1984         Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) - Honors Degree in Horticulture

  Personal Background

 I was born and grew up in . I was a competitive swimmer and water-polo player. I also played those thoroughly English sports, Cricket, Soccer, and Field Hockey. In 1982, while in Madison on a university work exchange program, I met Lucy Jenkins. After a transatlantic romance we married in 1986. We continued to visit this great city until moving here in 1992. After 8 years as east-siders, we moved to a pleasant rural Verona neighborhood. Our "children" are one dog and three cats and the most recent addition, in November 2002, a baby boy, Christopher.  Over the last few years I have become active in Masters swimming, mainly for health reasons,  but have since become hooked on competition.
